Day 6 - Day trip to Vientianne

We were very tired and woke up a little late. After a quick bath, we went out on 2 scooters to the border pass office. 4 of them don't have passports and needed to apply for a border pass in order to go to Laos. It costs 30b for a 3 day border pass. At Thai immigrations, while filling up our immigration forms, a guy tried to get friendly with us. He turns out to be our driver cum tour guide. His name is Pornsak and he offered us his 11 seater car (Hyundai Starex) for 800b a day. We thought that 800b is a fair price to pay to hire a car with driver.

He brought us to have beef noodles for lunch followed by a temple tour combo of Wat Thatluang, Patouxay, Wat Samket, Wat Simuang and Wat Phrakaew to offer our prayers. The temples are scenic and beautiful.

It's was about 5.30pm when we returned to Thailand. It's convinent to do a day trip to Laos. Just like Singaporean going to Johor Bahru for a day trip. As everyone was tired, we decided to have a simple home cooked dinner.
